Using CGI to Show a New Eco-Friendly Extension Installation
We were approached by Icotherm – a UK manufacturer of bespoke roofing systems – to produce a video demonstrating how their eco-friendly, energy-efficient extensions are installed.
They already had an excellent timelapse video showing the removal of an older conservatory, followed by the construction of a new Icotherm extension.
However, for use on their website and social media platforms, they felt a CGI video would be more effective.
Every element of the original conservatory needed to be animated to show its removal – right down to the lower brickwork and concrete flooring – forming the foundation for the new extension.
Using reference materials, we created 3D models of both the old conservatory and the new Icotherm system. By breaking each section down, we were able to animate the step-by-step removal of the existing structure and the complete build-up of the new extension.
Finally, we rendered different cladding finish options and delivered two versions of the video: one with instructional call-outs, and one without.
