CGI Product Animation for medical seating comfort
Invacare is a global manufacturer of medical seating and support products designed to improve comfort, safety, and mobility. We worked with Invacare to create a series of CGI product animation videos for their Propad and Propad Revolve cushions. The animations needed to clearly explain product features while maintaining clinical accuracy and clarity.
Why Photorealistic CGI Was the Only Viable Solution
The Propad and Propad Revolve cushions contain layered materials and pressure-relief features that are difficult to show using traditional filming or photography. Photorealistic CGI allowed us to reveal internal construction, demonstrate movement, and explain how each cushion supports the user.
CGI also ensured consistent lighting, clean environments, and precise control over camera angles. This was essential for producing clear, medically appropriate visuals that communicate function without distraction.
Our Process
We built accurate 3D models of each cushion using product reference and technical data. This allowed us to texture materials realistically and animate compression, rotation, and user interaction. Each animation focuses on a specific function, ensuring the information is easy to understand for both clinicians and end users.
The Outcome
The finished animations support product marketing, training, and digital communication. They provide a clear explanation of how each cushion functions and help users understand the benefits without requiring physical demonstrations. The project highlights how CGI can support clarity and trust in medical product communication.
