NovaBiotics approached RSL Designs to create a CGI product animation to support the launch of Tinexyl® PRO, a breakthrough conditioning treatment designed to improve toenail health.
Tinexyl® PRO is a first-of-its-kind, water-based formulation developed to address common toenail conditions such as discolouration, brittleness, thickening and poor surface texture. The proprietary formula hydrates and conditions the nail plate, improving nail structure and reinforcing the nail’s barrier function over time.

Why CGI and 3D Animation Were the Only Viable Solution
Explaining how a medical-grade toenail treatment works requires more than surface-level visuals. Traditional filming methods cannot capture internal nail structure, absorption processes or microscopic changes within the nail plate.
To accurately communicate the science behind Tinexyl® PRO, the video required:
- Near-microscopic cutaway views of the toenail structure
- Internal before-and-after visualisation of treatment results
- High-precision liquid simulations to demonstrate application and absorption
By using CGI and 3D product animation, we were able to visualise biological processes that are invisible to the naked eye. This approach allowed complex formulation science to be translated into clear, engaging visuals that improve understanding, credibility and buyer confidence.
